Social Ministry Team

 Our Social Ministry team meets monthly for an active engagement in community.  Each month a "community needs" is selected, - an ingathering of items to support a number of community-based ministries in Genesee County (Carriage Town Ministries, Little Lambs closet, North End Soup Kitchen, Flint Shelters, Family Promise, local pantries, Samaritas ministries, Food Bank,...and more).   Each month projects are selected (volunteers and funds for Habitat for Humanity, serving at Food kitchens, supporting local school, adopting families for Christmas with gifts from our Angel Tree and open children's gift give-away, supporting Thanksgiving meals, supporting Hunger Walks, ...and more).

  In support of world needs, we offer funds to World Hunger appeal and are linked in partnership with the Kansay Congregation in Tanzania.  

  Our quilters supply quilts for Family Promise and local shelters.
