Our Beliefs

This is Christ's Church.  We share a living confidence in God's grace.

 

We believe in the Triune God who created and loves all of creation.  We believe that God's Son, Jesus Christ, transforms lives through his death on the cross and his resurrection life, and we trust that God's Spirit is actve in the world.

We are a part of God's unfolding plan.  When we gather for worship, we connect with believers everywhere.  When we study the bible or hear God's word in worship, we are drawn more deeply into God's own saving story.

We share convictions expressed in the statements of faith called the creeds: The Apostles' Creed, the Nicene Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.

 

The Bible is the written Word of God that creates and nurtures faith through the work of the Holy Spirit and points us to Jesus Christ, the living Word and center of our faith.  In the Old Testament we hear the story of God's relationship with and work on behalf of the Hebrew people.  In the New Testament we come to know the story of Jesus, God's Son, and his teachings, death and resurrection, as well as the experience and faith of the first followers of Jesus.  The bible is for us a norm for life, a witness of God's relationship with us, and a living word that brings us into God's story for us.
