Christian Education

To grow in the Spirit through God's Word is our hope for all ages.

Our education ministries begin at birth with an invitation to Holy Baptism and entering into a cradle roll program that reaches into the home of every infant.  At age 3 our cradle roll children receive an invitation to Sunday School.

SUNDAY SCHOOL is for all between the ages of 3 and 93 or older.  The hour begins at 9 a.m. each Sunday from early September to early June.  Children gather first in the fellowship hall for an opening with song and prayer.  Children, youth and adults meet  around God's Word ...sharing stories of faith through song, activities and story-tellling for the youngest ones, engaging youth in discussions of faith, and inviting adults to grow in their unique faith journeys.    There are times when children reach into the community with the message of God's love and ways in which adults share the Gospel in deeds of support and care.  A Family Sunday School Hour is offered the first Sunday of each month, giving parents and grandparents an opportunity to grow together spiritually and to get to know other famlies.

SUMMER LEARNING  may include a week of Vacation Bible School or a "Faith-Family-Fun" week  for all ages (2-3 evenings, 6-8 p.m. usually held in August) and an ocassional intergenerational Sunday School hour.  Adults engage in conversations around selected biblical themes twice a month throughout the summer, with morning and evening options.

ADULT BIBLE STUDIES are open to all, in a variety of forms:  Womens' bible study meets monthly (9:30 on a Saturday or 7:30 p.m. on a weekday);  Several times a year there is a Saturday Morning Bible Study from 8:30-11 a.m., beginning with a continental breakfast.  Throughout the year adults are invited to participate in a year-long week-day study (Monday morning at 10a.m. or on Sunday evening at 7 p.m.).

CATECHISM INSTRUCTION is designed for youth in grades 7-9 and is led by Pastor on Thursday evenings throughout the school year.  To register your child, contact Pastor.  Part of this program includes Confirmation Camp in the summer.

Adults who would like to engage in catechetical study in preparation for membership or to renew learning, are invited to share that request with Pastor.
